Ted,
This is a raven. You can even see the feathering at the base of the bill. You say that there’s a nest at a bridge over Linganore Creek – I would urge you to get this into the Breeding Bird Atlas portal on eBird.
FYI Ravens have been extending their range into areas of MD where they used to be scarce or rare.

Look at the bill. It’s a Raven. The plumage suggests a youngster.

HelloI'm pretty sure this is a common raven - It sounds like a raven, not a fish crow, and not american crow. I've never seen them in this part of maryland but I've heard them here multiple times and finally got to see one. (Merlin and sleuth keep telling me it's a crow) It's beak is definitely longer than it's head. I believe it was raven sized but I have no scale objects. They seem to have a nest under a tall bridge above the Linganore creek.Location: East central frederick countyTime: 1pm today. Thanks for any thoughts.Ted..--

.
If this was indeed a young bird, don't expect it to sound like its parents. A few years ago I kept hearing loud avian shrieks nearby and wondered if a neighbor was raising peacocks. Then one day a couple of ravens circled over our yard, and one of them was making the exact noise I'd been hearing for weeks! Young crows also sound different from adults.

I believe I have it in the atlas correctly with a couple photos. I know the ravens have been there for a while. I remember hearing them last summer and according to the property owners, they have been in the area for several years.
