Dear Dr. Fang,

I hope this email finds you well.

I am currently utilizing MCX studios for simulating skin properties with a pencil beam. I am interested in adjusting the light source wavelength to a specific value, such as 1650nm. Could you kindly provide guidance on how to reconfigure the wavelength setting within the MCX studios interface?

Thank you very much for your assistance. I look forward to your favorable response.

Best regards,

Pat

hi John

mcx, as well as mcxcl and mmc, expects the user to provide mua/mus/g and n directly for each medium type.

therefore, it is left for users to decide what chromorphore and the associated spectra to use, scattering model and the wavelength to be simulated.

from a baseline MC simulation, the partial-path output from an MC simulations can also be rescaled to calculate measruements at different mua/mus values using methods such as white Monte Carlo or rescaled Monte Carlo.
