Hi, If you're looking at Orion and a bit north of it you'd be looking at Jupiter. I just went outside (10:15pm) and looked up and also referred to the Heavens-Above live sky app on my phone. I like that app as it notes pretty much anything overhead at any given time from stars, constellations, planets and satellites, especially those trains of Starlink ones when they're launched. Jupiter is moving through Gemini constellation and trailing the other planets that are grouped closer to the setting sun. They will all be visible later in the month as Barbara mentioned.
If strictly following O's belt to the south, the next bright star would be Sirius in the Canis Major constellation. It does flash, but that's due to light refraction when it passes through layers of the atmosphere.
