Dear All,

Can we use two welders for qualification of WQT using by combination welding (GTAW+SMAW) on single test coupon.
I used 16" pipe sch-30 for WQT. As per  ASME Sec IX, QW-306 my interpretation says it is possible.
Looking expert judgement from respected group members.

The only inconvenience is that if one of them cause the failure of the test tube, both fail. (QW-306)

it depends. According to qw-360 any welder should weld the thickness welded in WQT. for example if you have the thickness of 120 mm and the wqt said that the welder should weld 20mm thickness you can use this welder for welding 20 mm once.

Yes you can. It shall be running of 6" or 150mm continuous weld.

But which is the applicable code r u qualifying the welder. As per the ASME Sec IX addenda, the welder have to weld one full complete pipe. left and right side.  whether it is 1" or 24"
