To all,

The new EIL spec prescribes PWHT to be performed for all CS materials used for sour service irrespective of the thickness..
Is it required to do PWHT for all joints(1",2",4",6" etc) for CS Nace based on this spec??

Dear Vikas,

Yes.

If the Client specifications say so than you need to follow it or else provide technical justification based on NACE standards to over rule the client spec.

Generally the order for precedence are you local regulations, contract documents  than project specifications and lastly the international Codes and Standards.

Dear Sir,

You have to follow client specifications. It is the designer who decides whether pwht is needed or not in these cases.
