Dear all,

I am having material thickness SS316   25 mm to weld.
1.  i have qualified  GTAW PROCESS WPS with  10mm plate which is allow 2T up to 20 mm  thk weld 
2. another i have qualified SMAW with back chip WPS with 10 mm Plate which is allow up to  20 mm SMAW only with Back chip.

may i allow to do 25 mm thick welding with Both  gtaw +smaw  welding.

In my opinion you can not weld 25 mm thk.

No , not allowed , you cannot make any WPS more than the thickness of maximum allowed range of Each PQR.
at least one PQR should have been qualified to support maximum thickness of you required to prepare WPS.

As per ASME Sec-IX, If you want to use the Root Pass of one PQR on second PQR, it should be qualified on at least 13mm thick coupon.
