Dear Experts,

Please clarify. If I have qualified a procedure with combination process i.e GTAW+SMAW for groove joint, then using this procedure can I allow to weld fillet joints using SMAW.

Using AWS  code NO. Using ASME  yes you have to write a new WPS  for single process.

Hi jay ,

Refer ASME Sec IX QW- 202.2 (C) , ofcourse you have to write a WPS Separately for SMAW for Fillet Welds, with the same PQR No.
