Fire Proofing

Dear Experts,

We have to fire proof somE steel structure profiles 

However, in the meantime our client's SPC calls for Hot Dip Galvanized

Is intumescent fire proofing paint compatible with HDG?

Anyone has range of price/SQM for intumescent paint?

Hi,

Yes, intumescent paint is compatible with HDG. But first you need to specify the extend of fire proofing protection (1 hour or 2 hours) required. You may approach a consultant or paint manufacturer to select paint system and coating thickness requirement. Fire proof coat thickness depends on the section factors of structural items.

Price varies for each manufacturer.
