Regarding Brand of SAW wire and flux

Dear Experts,

Is it necessary to use same brand ofwore and flux for welding in SAW. Is there any effect if we will use wire and flux of different brand.

As  per ASME, wire chemistry for carbon & Low alloy steel and there will not be effect on change of brand name of flux,. But for SS, yes.  As per ASME no for non impact and ISO yes

If wire & flux are standard & identified in Sec IIC viz F7A6 EM12K; then change of brand viz Bohler or ESAB does not require requalification of WPS
