Welding of S32750 super Duplex Steel

Dear Experts,

One of our project we have to weld material with GTAW process as per following.

1. SA 790 UNS S32750 to SA 780 UNS S32750

2. SA 790 UNS S32750 to SA 240 Gr. 316L

Request you to please confirm suitable filler wire Grade as well as any special care require during welding.

I recommend to select AWS A 5.9 ER2209 or ER309LMo.

Refer to API RP 582 Table A.3.

Hello

SA790 UNS S32750 is the specification for Super Duplex Pipes & Tubes .

Therfore use of ER2507 filler alloy will help in Ferrite-Austenite balance .

Weld metal producing PREN> 40 is requirement for Corrosion properties for such joints..

I would use the attached brochure for further studies & weld alloy selection.
