Dear all,

Greeting for the day.

Please guide me regarding tube to tube sheet WPS Qualification.

We are having 8'' and 20'' flange and
 tube size 12mm Od 
thickness of the tube is 0.9 mm

 Hello Sujit,

You shall refer ASME section IX Article-1 (QW-193) for tube to Tubesheet tests.

Hello sahil saini sir.

I would like to inform you that I know that clause but there is so many dought i am getting like 
If I want to do welding flange to tube....how to prepare WPS for that..???
Is there demonstration required for this tube to tube sheet...??

What test required in that WPS??

Please explain me it would be greatful  for me

If mockup require as per client spec
Prepare same joint config as joint in drawing.
If production joint is less than 50mm than mockup ts should be sans thicknes as per dwg.if more than 50mm production thickness than mockup ts should be 50mm
Take 10 tube weld do macro 40 nos.leak path also required ask designer for leak path value.
For pull out test designer will calculate FR value on basis of that designer will find pull out require or not asme sec8 div1 non mandatory appendix A.
If pullout require than load value at pull should be more than req as per non mandatory appendix A

Dear sujit
If your code of construction is asme sec8 div1 no need of mockup you can use groove weld qualified wps for tuve to tubesheet
If code of construction is asme sec8 div2 its mandatory to do mockup.
If you have any earlier qualified tube to tubesheet mockup you can use by providing essential variable for tube to rubesheet in sec9

sir I want to qualify new WPS for that tube-to-tube sheet because tube thickness is only 0.9 mm and tube od is 12.5 mm because I am not having WPS which lies in this thickness. please guide...??

You req to qualify Mock up for T to Tsht joint as per secIX all reqmnt is addressed
This ll be used as PQR n  WPS also

We are carrying out a fabrication order which has
1) Double pipe Exchangers 
MOC CS to CS
Sizes 3" X 2" NB
 3" X 1" NB
2) Double pipe Exchangers 
MOC SS304 to SS304
Sizes 3" X 2" NB

3) Shell and PIPE Exchangers having Pipe to tubesheet joints
Moc Tubesheet 69mm thk SA387Gr. 11 to pipe 65NB Sch 80 SA335P11  . 

4) Shell and tube Exchangers having Tube SS304 to tubesheet SA387Gr. 11 joints
Moc CS to CS  sizes of tube :12.7OD  x 3thk 

5) Shell and tube Exchangers having Tube DSS31803 to tubesheet SA516Gr. 70 joints
  sizes of tube :12.7 OD x 3thk

My query is 
How many mock up test are to be established. 
Fabrication is as per SecVIII div 1.
