ASME SECTION IX,
QW-200.1
The WPS shall  reference the supporting Procedure Qualification Record
QW-200.2
The completed PQR shall document all Essential and whenrequired supplementary essential variables

Nowhere it is mentioned that PQR shall reference the WPS
But some client?Auditors insists to mention the WPS no on PQR,  Why, when Code does not address it??

preliminary welding procedures are written for providing specific information to all during qualification. It is not necessary to indicate the pWPS/WPS numbers on the PQR.
we can write 'n' number of WPS's supporting one PQR. do we write all of these WPS numbers on PQR?
refer interpretation # IX-10-22

Dear Sir,

I believe if the PQR was conducted followed by a Client approved pWPS, the WPS number might be indicated.

Please check code suggested format. Following good engineering practice pWPS/WPS number to be written. As client insists, you have to follow instruction of client.

Not necessary. We are authorised to qualify PQR/WPS as per code requirement. Go with Raghuram. Format is only suggested and not necessary to follow, but we can make ours in which all essential, non essential, if required supplementary essential variable are to be addressed.
