Dear All,

I want to prepare a WPS for SECVIII Div-1,Material-SA333, MDMT: -46C,Thickness 24 mm.

As per vessel drawing there is no impact test and PWHT requirement.

I have one PQR without impact test.

Can i prepare the WPS based on that PQR who is with out impact test?

MDMT of vessel is -46C.

Thanks & Regards,

Himanshu panchal

Mr Himanshu
Please check the UG 20 for the exception of impact testing. As per your requirement it is must as the mdmt is below -26 deg C

I wonder that Impact test is not required, unless the thickness is lower that 13 mm. SA-333 belongs to the curve A of UCS-66M.
if impact test is not required, then you can use the available PQR provided that all other essential variables are within range
