Alternative for flattening test of LTCS pipe

Dear All,

We are facing one problem for Flattering test of one LTCS Pipe.

 For Pipe Size 18” x Sch.160 (45.24 mm Thk) – Flattening test result not satisfactory because UTS machine capacity could not achieved the flattening height as per requirement. Obtained Flattening Height – 330 mm (Req. 286.44 mm)  

 

Kindly advice alternative for the following

    Are you asking the material standard of the pipe it is A333 Gr 6

H=286.44mm is only first step, in subsequent step further flattening is required. in my opinion no alternative to this.

 Can we ignore this test.. Or any other test can u specify in this situation.
