which electrode can be used for welding of HARDOX 500 to CS Plates

Dear Sir,

As per the Hardox manufacturer recommendation, you may go for AWS E307 type of welding consumable without any preheating.

THANKS , WHAT IS THE EQUIVALENT TO USE SMAW OR FCAW? 

DO WE NEED ALSO TO DO BUILD UP (HARDFACING) FOR THE WELDING FINAL WELDING LAYERS AFTER JOINING?

Dear sir,

It depends on the plate thickness because if the thickness of hardox 500 is more in that case chemical composition changes due to hardness. (like NI for less thick ni-0.2 for high ni-1.5, mo .25 to .6, cr 1 to 1.4)
