Groove Weld Diameter- Minimum range

Dear experts,

kindly refer to the attached images for groove joints 2'' sch 80 ( 5.54 mm) qualified thickness and diameter as per PQR. For my query regarding this WPS image 1 is minimum dia for the groove joint is 3/4" (25mm) as per ASME SEC IX Table QW-452.3, but the attached image WPS mentioned all sizes for diameter.

please advise

WPS should be re-written as per SEC IX code .

Hai,

Diameter restriction not applicable for WPS.

QW-452.3 Applicable for WQT only.

452.3 is for welding performance qualification.
