material will be received in impact tested condition
need to know whether weld impact test is required or not?

I presume there is no specific service requirements based impact testing and plates are normalized

As per Figure UCS-66M of ASME Sec 8 Div.1, The material 516 fouls under curve D. the impact testing is exempted up to -48°C for your thickness. So not required for your case.

As per Figure UCS-66M of Sec 8 Div.1, The plate material 516 fouls under curve D. the impact testing is exempted up to -48°C .

Reg welding, The electrode E7018-1 is guaranteed impact values at -45°C. Refer Table 3 of SFA 5.1.

But its better to have impact tested PQRs for company future use.

Impact for Weld is not required as E 7018-1 is upto minus 45 deg c, as per Code.  Check the GTAW Filler if you are using any.

Most important check material of flange and pipe

Prashant
