I want to know which test is required for WPS and how many tests are required as per ASME section IX.?

PLATE SPECIFICATION-SA516  GR70

PLATE THICKNESS-10MM

FILLER USED-ER-70S2

ELECTRODE USED-E-7018

 TOUGHNESS TEST NOT REQUIRED

Hi Sujit, 

Referring to QW-451.1 the following tests shall be conducted.

2 Transverse tensile

2 Root Bend

2 Face bend

Additionally, you can advise the laboratory to perform a hardness test for Base, Weld, and HAZ which is common when qualifying a PQR
