Hi welding experts ,

I want to do a welding procedure in accordance to ISO15614, the client material rance from 16mm to 40mm, making reference to take table 7 of ISO15614, would using a 20mm plate support the qualification of the material thickness in question? most especially the 40mm

Hi
You can select a test piece of 25 mm so that u can get a thickness range from 12.5 mm to 50 mm range

Hi bavithran samuthralingam,

Using a 20mm plate will be too tight for the procedure right ? since it will be borderline  nowonder you suggest 25mm ? very interesting

Hi,

yes, 25 mm seems to be the safer option since it qualifies the 12.5–50 mm thickness range.

20 mm would be more borderline for our target range.
