Dear Williams ,

Test temperature generally it will be mentioned in client specification for impacting of procedures if client wants at different temperature based on their service requirements

or else Test temperature will be the same as MDMT of base material

for test specimen extraction refer UG-84 fig , number of specimens will vary based on welding procedures used during welding and thickness of deposition, way of welding - single side/double side

Thanks & Regard,

Dear Sir,

Thanks for your mail.

Our case the 80 mm thick, normalized carbon steel plate will undergo RN, SR1 & SR2
So, do we need to consider higher impact values during the selection of plates.

Thank You & Regards

Dear Williams,
each heatrement  type RN & SR qualification procedures you need to do all the testing ..
check client specification are they asked to carry out complete test at SR1 & SR2 , if not u can carry out all the testing for SR2 and only impact , Macro & hardness Tests at SR1 (agree same with client)

in general these plates will be guaranteed and test at - 51deg C in normalised condition , specify this requirement during purchase of BM & welding consumables
at the time of procurement u need to specify your project heat treatment conditions clearly to vender /supplier that material shall guarantee 2 cycle PWHT and
