Acceptance criteria for distortion

Can some help to get the distortion acceptance criteria to WQT at 4G position.

The distortion may be due  to lack of sufficient Stiffeners and supports.

Normally the Type of Distortion which occurs is as below.

There are no specific requirements to Distortion while qualifying the WQT. Even WQT's of pipes are being successfully Radiographed. Hence as long as you are able to Radiograph 6inch (150mm) successfully, WQT is considered acceptable.

Just to add,

if Distortion is being observed during WQT welding which results in Closing or opening up of Weld Bevel then normally TPI's do not permit Grinding to set right the bevel and in this case a new WQT required to be Qualified.

Nornally by using strong supports(Stiffeners) and proper Tacks or Bridge Tacks the bevel during WQT qualification can be protected.
