Dear Experts,

Need your opinion  for ERCoCr-A hard facing overlay on A276 410 ( with 2.5mm finished overlay thickness) by GTAW Welding Process.

1. What weld parameters required for welding.

2. PWHT requirement (time &  temperature required).

Qualification standard is ASME Sec IX.

Thanks in advance

Thanks & Regards,

this combination is not generally recommended as it always lead to weld crack.

Could you provide more info. on  why you chose 410 Grade.

Dear friend,

ERCoCr-A can be hard faced as overlay on A217-CA15 type cast material by GTAW process, which is equivalent to  A276 410 composition, since A276- 410 is bar material and no code is allowed to hard face or deposit on these type of bar material.

PWHT can be followed as per ASME sec VIII div 1 standard with reference to Pno :6 ,time &  temperature also avilable.

regards.
