Procedure Qualification Record

Dear experts,

The base materials to be used in the project are based on BS EN 10025-2 : 2004 Grade S275JR.Can I qualify my procedure based on API 1104?. If so,can you please advice me on the grade of the base materials which can be used for the procedure qualification?.

S275 JR is basically  material used for Structural  application.

I hope  , your application also is for structures .

For welding qualification ,  you can use AWS D1.1  OR  EN 15614

AWS D1.1 is well accepted  by Clients .

You have to qualify procedures/ Welders.

As per the client , the procedure is to be qualified based on API 1104.Can you please advice me on the base material selection for Procedure/Welder qualifications?

It's structural steel ASTM - A36

You go for E 7018 SMAW 

Pre qualilified WPS are available with AWS D 1.1
