Inconel 625 with Nitrogen as purging

Dear Experts,

Kindly advise if any of you have previous experience in purging Inconel 625 pipe with Nitrogen. We have observed an orange like or near golden tinge on the root. It was purely experimental on the basis of a cost cutting attempt.

RT is passed as per ASME B31.3 Normal Service requirements. Mechanical Tests / Corrosion tests are not planned at this stage.

If anyone can advise on this coloration (probably nitrides) and possible implications, that will be a great help.
