Change of NDT in repairs joint

Dear sir,

Is it allow to change the NDT method, while checking the repaired weld joint.
For example: we do the radiography of weld joints, then after repaired in some joint, due to some reason, we are performing UT.

Is it allow us or not, to accept that repaired weld joint on the basis of UT.

Hoping for valuable advice.

1) Means it is not allow to do any change in NDT method for repair acceptance of weld joint.


2) But asking only for information and discussion that , why is it not allow as my NDT changing or replacing method is equivalent to first one?

UT and RT are volumetric NDT method.

Its not allowed in API standard as well. The process of NDT should be same on repair joint also verify or start from intial stages.
