qualify WPS for spiral welding

dear all experts,

i need your help,please

my WPS is for spiral welding pipe, process : SAW

so when I make PQR and test couple, the range f thickness qualify will be for steel plate or for pipe and tubing

example, my test couple is spiral welding pipe, size t12mmx OD 800mm,

test piece size 12mm x500x500

as table 4.2 AWS D1.1: if the test couple is for steel plate, the range qualify will be 3mm- 2T, so my WPS have range 3mm to 24mm

but if the couple is for pipe and tubing, the range thickness only T/2 to 2T, so my WPS have range 6mm to 24mm

So the spiral welding pipe all of you think it is steel plate or pipe and tubing ( AWS D1.1)
