Dear all,
Can I weld a socket/fillet joint, where the thickness of base metal (pipe to half coupling) is less than 5mm, by using a WPS which is qualified for 5-50mm thickness (GTAW+SMAW, P1 to P1), since there is no groove/base metal thickness involved in fillet welds!! Kindly refer the clause during reply. Your earliest response would be highly appreciated!!

Thanks & Regards

Yes, check procedure for QW-451.4 / performance for QW-452.6.

Hence go ahead for both procedure / performance.

Thanks
