Dear Experts,

How to calculate consumables required in SMAW/MIG/TIG process

The welding in running meter are as below
1800m  of IS2062 steel 8mm thick
630m of SS316L stainless steel 6mm thick
3500m of lining inside shell 2mm thick

Are there any other dimensions required for calculations

Thank you.

Dear greetings for the Day,

Required Consumable formula
W= A x e x L x 1/E
 Where,
W= Required  quantity / Filler metal ( grams)
A = Cross section of Area ( cm2)
e= Density of material
L= length of the weld in cm
E= Deposition efficiency

A= ((rxt)+(t-f)2xtan(θ/2))/100

Where,
r = root
t = thickness
F= Foot face

Thanks and regards,
