Dear Experts,

We have a qualified PQR and WPS for Hardfacing overlay welding of Stellite 6 to C276 (UNS N10276; P-no.43 according to ASME IX QW-422)

The following applies to stellite:

CLASSIFICATION

AWS A 5.21: ER CoCr-A

EN ISO 14700: RZ Co2

DIN 8555: WSG 20-G0-40-CTZ

Used process: GTAW

Now the client wants us to do Ultimet hard facing overlay welding on Hastelloy C276.

For the Ultimet solid wired we found:

CLASSIFICATION

AWS 5.21: no class

UNS R31233

ASTM: B815

DIN: W.Nr. 2.4681

DIN CoCr26Ni9Mo5W

According to ASME IX, QW-432, all A5.21 is F-no.72 Filler wire

QUESTION:

Is it allowed to use above mentioned PQR (F-no.72 to P-no.43) to make a WPS for this job, or do we have to qualify a new PQR?

Looking forward to your valuable response,

Best regards,

New PQR is required to demostrate hardness & chemical compo is achived or not

In addition to this as per code ultimate wire is not listed in any category hence pqr required
