Qualification of Unlisted materials using AWS D 1.1 - 2020Ed - reg

Dear all , 

I have a situation to Qualify single Bevel CJP - API 5L X 65 pipe with Plate API 2W Gr.50 PL1 , using structural Welding code AWS D 1.1. 

The Problem is API 5L X 65 is unlisted in AWS D 1.1 and API 2W is listed in Group 3.

AWS D1.1 says , PQR using any unlisted materials shall qualify for that particular combination only.

which means i have to go for pipe and plate combination for PQR. Curious to know whther anyone have done PQR for this situation?, If so pls throw some light..
