Hello Peers, 
the above specifications states EFW welding whereas the supplier offers SAW pipes could you please advise this is acceptable or not.
The codes states:

5.2 Welding:
5.2.1 The joints shall be double-welded, full-penetration
welds made in accordance with procedures and by welders or
welding operators qualified in accordance with the ASME
Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section IX.
5.2.2 The welds shall be made either manually or automatically
by an electric process involving the deposition of filler
metal.

what is intended by "Double-Welded" in 5.2.1

SAW is one of  the EFW (electro fusion welding) process and is acceptable
double welding is welding from both sides

could some one give me a quick reference to the code to prove that SAW is an EFW welding.
