Dear Respected Professionals, Gday.

We need a welding rod selection table, or suitable comparison table or the proper reference to select the electrode to any particular material if required. Hope our friends will help me. Thank you. All the best.

Best Regards,

Dear Venkatachalam,

Please consult the API 577 "Welding Processes, Inspection, and Metallurgy". It has information on electrode table and classification, of course there are many more, from welding technical firms, manufacturers, etc.

Regards,
Ramon Briceño
Metallurgical Engineer.

Thanks  Mr. Venkatachalam,

The details provided by me gives only a guideline for selecting appropriate welding consumable based on suitability and matching chemical composition.

Apart from this there are various API, NACE, NiDL, SSA, Client specification and various Technical Articles which must be considered apart from the recommendation of ASME Sec.IIC based on Application such as Refinery, Natural Gas Plants, Petrochemical plants, Fertilizer plants etc. for Equipment and piping. It is always better to consult a Welding Engineer or Welding consultant/

Thanks & Regards

J.Gerald Jayakumar
