600 Lb to 300 Lb

Gents,
Is it possible to make a 2" dia 300 Lb flange out of 600 Lb by machining, and what parameters are critical to check for conformance.

Dear Experts,

If it is to be used for ASME Certification job not allowed. For ASME Non-Certification jobs, it is possible to make SORF, BLRF excepting WNRF. Please refer ASME B16.5. From WNRF Flange, you can make SORF, SWRF except Blind flange.
