Wayne Maine has $224,000 in their fire truck fund
if they put that money in an index stock fund they would get nearly
$25,000 in interest each year
if they bought a new $500,000 fire truck it would cost them $25,000
per year over 20 years
so they have enough money right now to buy a new $500,000 truck - right?
or is it illegal for them to put their money in an index fund?
maybe they could pool their fire trucks with other towns fire truck funds?
