New Significant Incidents / Ongoing Ops:
• Flash Flooding – Texas / New Mexico
Hazard Monitoring:
• Heavy Rain / Flash Flooding – Southern Plains, Southeast, and
Mid-Atlantic to Northeast
• Fire Weather – Northern Intermountain
• Tropical Activity:
○ Atlantic:
• Disturbance 1: Low (30%)
Disaster Declaration Activity:
• One amendment issued
Event Monitoring:
• No new significant events

NIFC / NICC is at PL 4 / preparedness level 4 - possibly that means
that they activate more on-call handcrews and more aircraft - they
reportedly have 10,000 firefighters working - they typically max out
around 20K firefighters at PL 5 - this is probably routine for this
time of the year in the USA
