100 on tape - 69 go for 70 - (someone was on direct - was probably Co
E69 telling Co E70 that 69B was better helispot / helicopter water
pickup site)
121 on tape - make 69 bravo the helispot - 69 moving there
157 - 80 charlie asks if TFR has been ordered - helco says not yet
226 - Plaisades IC to Fire 4 - go to air/ground radio channel -
(should be 154.40 which is LA Co A/G channel)
300 - location ?
419 - on Palisades Drive at 1821 - fire is skirting homes - 69 and 23 are there
(first units on scene were LAFD 69 and LAFD 23 and LAFD 19 and LA
county eng 70 and LA County Eng 69 - yup - two 69s in the area)
419 - where is foot of fire - started near the New Years Eve Fire
515 - 23 is at 1845 Palisades Dr
E19 on ?Charma? with 23 and 69
0600 - TF63 is at Chasten Way - also ...
(cant read my notes too good - street names need to be confirmed -
they are on the fire damage map)
0629 - E69 is on Piedra Morada
0646 - 83 at scene - report to staging
(apparently they had a preplan for this area - first alarm units would
go up into the hills and neighborhood - other units would stage/park
at Sta 23 by the ocean)
0723 - camp crew go up - no supervisor - (actually hand crew)
0747 - LAFD IC has met up with LA Co IC / LA Co Batt 23
0757 - LF63 is at Florenza Place at Via Floresa - fire backing down

0848 - someone tells IC that fire is spotting half mile out - "for S
A" - (situational awareness)
1030 - E19 at 1845 Chastine - doubled radio traffic - close PCH
1130 - Bien Vende - will be hit in 20 minutes - gated community
1210 - helco - fire is spotting - which is east flank or west flank -
Zulu is west flank
Crews 82 83 84
1322 - 23 pulling lines on Chasteen
1557 - 12 homes threatened
1620 - 3 engines in staging per LA Co E67 - 1880C at scene (that might
be a strike team of 5 engines or 5 units)
1955 - LA City Victor 1 - (never heard of that channel before - maybe
was a mistake)
2200 - Quebec 2 at scene - was airborne at 1054
2200 - multi companies at staging
2300 - some unit on direct
Assitant Chief 7 - need to move ICP / incident command post to PCH at
Sunset - has good view and good comms - already setting up at Will
Rogers State Park
2520 - just E69 and R69 are on Piedra Modera
2601 - maybe LF37 and E67 and LA Co E65 are also there
2617 - houses on Lochman Lane about to get hit
20 minute warning for Copter 11
Structure Defense Groups 1 and 2 and 3 are identified / designated
2850 - HelCo calls IC on Command (V1)
2920 - more westerly push now - at 200 cres now
