arlington mutual aid procedure - proposed - just thinking outloud
arlington usually sends Engine 2 to mutual aid coverage assignments -
they can be gone for maybe 1 hour to maybe 24 hours - usually they are
out of Arlington for 2 or 3 hours
this leaves arlington with - E1 L1 C2 at HQ - R1 at Sta 2 - E3 at Sta 3
options
L1 could switch over to Ladder 2 (the reserve quint)
C2 and R1 could staff Ladder 2
L1 and R1 could staff L2 with 5 people
one primary consideration - can a private ambulance be dedicated to
Arlington to fill in for R1? between Armstrong + Cataldo + Pro you
would think that someone could scare up 1 BLS unit (not that Cataldo
ever responds to any calls in Arlington)
benefit - increasing the number of pumpers by 50% at no extra cost
