basically berkshire county has been operating without a radio license
on the channel for 13 years
looks like they want to add 2 repeaters on the channel also - Mt
Greylock at Adams plus Lenox Mtn near Richmond
they also want to add 2 base stations on the channel at the same sites
if they run synchronized simulcast it might give them 75% portable
radio coverage countywide - maybe 95% - that would be very nice -
would be very useful in the case of a huge wildfire or large scale
disaster
