response to active shooters

very important for dispatcher to tell everyone where the shooter is located

dont need fire trucks and ambulances and even cops to drive down a
street right into the gunsights of a active shooter

you might be surprised how many times this happens

happened at uvalde - very early into incident - school cop drove right
past the shooter when the shooter was still outside the school - iirc

if the dispatcher is not giving the location of the shooter - then you
can get on the radio and say - DISPATCHER, WHERE IS THE SHOOTER NOW? -
they might say - we dont know - then ask - DISPATCHER, WHAT IS THE
LAST REPORTED LOCATION OF THE SHOOTER? - or - DISPATCHER, WHAT IS THE
LOCATION OF THE VICTIMS?

not hard - just need to practice the right words - we dont need to
hear - what is the approximate last reported probable location of the
armed party? - too wordy - too vague - and what armed party are we
referring to? - need to practice the right words
