the essex county fire sop from 2025 / 2021 calls this freq FG 1 U
but sne calls it FG red
rrdb calls it - Essex County Mutual Aid Fireground Red CH 14 UHF
so which is it?
during the Gloster fire - both Beauport Medic 93 and Rockport Eng 3
were talking with the Gloucester FD dispatcher - they seemed to be on
Gloster FD Ch 1 (470.40 R) - we were listening via Broadcastify so it
was hard to determine exactly what channel they were on - but it
sounded like a digital channel - and it sounded the same as all the
other comms that we heard from the Gloster FD dispatcher when talking
to his Gloster units
other radio traffic heard - "C6 to Headquarters' - fire is knocked
down but continue the working fire assignment - "Engine 3 reponding" -
"Car 3 at scene, C5 in command" - Engine 2 - "Deputy" - Engine 4 to
cover - C8 was female on Engine 3 - maybe a captain - Car 1 - maybe
the Chief - Rescue 1
we have not listened to the very beginning of the fire yet - we should
probably do that - first alarm might have been E1 E2 L1 R1 - and then
1 engine to cover - and then working fire got 1 more engine and
beauport and rockport - something like that
yes - lets make a mtn out of a molehill - lol

we just listened to the beginning of the fire - it must have been
right next door to HQ - C6 reported fire showing before Eng 1 even
arrived
first alarm was E1 E2 L1 R1 Car3 - for the reported "structure fire" -
with Eng 3 moving up to cover HQ
Engine 1 went onscene and immediately declared a 'working fire'
Engine 3 then rerouted themselves to the fire - and Eng 4 started to
move up to HQ - and Rockport Eng 3 and Beauport 93 mah=gically
appeared
not sure why "County Red" was mentioned as FG channel - they did not
go to a 2nd alarm - unless they secretly call a 2nd alarm for a
working fire - damn - now we have to check the county freq and see
what they said
Car 1 i apparently the Big Kabola - whatever that is - assuming its a
good thing - DA CHIEF
