Hi, New user here

Is there any way to find areas/distances between certain points from a map file (.ecw file format)? Similar to as you would in Google Earth.

There are no polygons, only the map projected onto MapInfo as a raster. I tried using the measure button but it would not register the distance when clicking and dragging between two points.

Thanks,

How about creating the points or polygons on the cosmetic layer and making the measurements there?

You can save the cosmetic layer if required or clear it when it gets too cluttered.

Regards,

Keith

The Ruler tool works on single clicks.
First left click to specify the first point, then left click to specify the second point. The Ruler window will show you the distance as you move the mouse around.
You can insert as many points as you want and in this way measure a more complex route.

Double click to end the current measurement
