Christmas Party

I’m zeroing in on Thursday 12^th December (only 2 weeks away) with the usual format being meet at 9:30am Jamieson Park, Narrabeen, a quick whizz around the lake to justify all the Christmas Cake, coffee van at 11am back at Jamieson Park followed by amiable chatter for a couple of hours. BYO food, drink and chairs.

 

PS please remember that the parking wardens are seriously ferocious in that area so you need to park a little further away but there is extended free parking reasonably close by.

Hi All

Hooking this email onto the trail from last year's email ...!

Christmas party time approaches and the best date is clearly Thursday December 11th. Usual formula being to hold it at Jamieson Park in Narrabeen (where the parking wardens are ferocious). BYO food, BYOG and of course BYOB.

I shall get myself up there by 10:30 am, a bit later than past years but it's a long ride from Mosman. There'll then be a ride around the lake ending up with coffee at either H2O Cafe or The Tramshed (executive decision to be made later) which is where we coffeed last year as I recall. Main gathering then to commence circa midday at Jamieson Park itself.

Final call on the day, but if the weather is rubbish it will probably be necessary to postpone a week to the following Thursday 18th because there's no indoor, backup Plan B. We've lucked out for the last few years but keep all your fingers and toes crossed anyway.

Quick reminder that we're getting close to the CHristmas Party ...

Date: Thursday, 11th December

Location: Jamieson Park, Narrabeen

Start Time: 10:30am for the bicycle ride around the lake

Coffee: Circa 11:30-ish at H2O Cafe or The Tramshed. May need to swap between the two but they are quite close, 2 minute cycle ride or 5 minute walk apart.

Main Event: 12:00pm.

It’s ON.

The forecast is for very limited rain … maybe … so definitely okay for the ride commencing at 10:30. If conditions deteriorate (which is a maybe albeit low probability) then we might relocate to North Narrabeen Surf Life Saving Club (where we held the AGM in March) for the party. Be aware however that NNSLSC has a cafe and is licensed so we can’t eat our own picnics or BYOG in that scenario.
