Thanks Geoff and everyone for a very enjoyable ride.  Perfect day.

For those who are interested, I had a five star experience.  I arrived home with a full battery.  I’ve ridden about 40 km in total and only used epower for about a minute on a couple of short sharp hills.  It’s very easy to ride without power on gentle hills, and light enough for me to lift into the car.
Ciao.

Light enough to lift into or on to a car will clinch any deal.
What make is your bike Jennifer?

Looks grand and mid step too! Jennifer, a good choice. I could not see on the specs what the weight is.

Hi Jennifer
I am interested in a light e-bike I can put in the car myself. Your Trek FX+ midstep looks interesting, what is its weight?
Cheers

I think it is 18 kg, but there are no details with the bike to confirm that.  I guess you could lighten it by taking off the back rack and the stand.  The front wheel turns back on itself which makes it easier to put into my car.  Jeanette suggests I get a couple of cms taken off the handlebars which I think would be a good idea.  The  answer to the question some people are too polite to ask is $2699.00.  To ride it feels quite like my road bike, very comfortable and manoeuvrable.

Many thanks. Is it just peddle assist?. That’s a great feature the front wheel turning back on itself. Does it have a motor mid bike or in the back wheel ? The price sounds pretty reasonable I have been looking!
