Dear Judy,
As you may have heard, Mallory McMorrow suspended her Senate run over the weekend. You can read Chair Hertel’s full statement here: https://michigandems.com/chair-hertel-statement-on-mallory-mcmorrows-campaign/
We want to ensure every voter has the information they need to make their voice heard. If you have already cast an absentee ballot for a candidate who has recently dropped out of the race, you have options to change your vote.
Please review the official guidance below regarding the rules and deadlines for spoiling a ballot:
A voter who returned their absentee ballot to their clerk's office in person, via drop box, or by mail has the right to change their vote by spoiling their ballot and requesting a new one. The request must be in writing, signed by the voter, and received by the voter's city or township clerk by 5 p.m. on July 24. Voters should contact their city/township clerk directly for more information. Voters can find their clerk's contact information at Michigan.gov/Vote.

Thank you for your continued engagement and participation in this election cycle.
Sincerely,
Michigan Democratic Party
