The October pelagic trip is SOLD OUT!!  I'm sorry to the many people who
tried to sign up for the October trip, but could not make it.

Since it sold out so quickly, I talked with the boat captain, and we
decided to offer a second trip in ONE WEEK on Thursday, September 17.

The boat is the Granite State whale watch boat and the trip will leave
from Rye harbor, NH.  The boat will board at 7:30 AM for an 8:00 AM
departure.  The boat will return at approximately 5 PM. Cost is $60 plus
an additional $5 to park in the parking lot.

I will "narrate" the trip and the boat will travel to offshore waters in
the vicinity of Jeffrey's Ledge.  We will be mostly in NH waters;
however, past trips have also recorded birds in MA and ME waters.

Again, pelagic trips are extremely unpredictable.  This trip will be
earlier than the last trip, so the odds of getting late fall birds such
as puffins, fulmars, and Red Phalaropes may be less, but hopefully we
might have a better chance at other species like shearwaters, maybe
Sabine's Gull, terns, Parasitic Jaeger, and maybe Long-tailed Jaeger.

We will follow  the COVID guidelines as dictated by the boat as they
have used for whale watches this summer.  According to the Captain,
these include wearing masks when people aren't able to distance or are
in inside areas, or are closer to each other, especially when viewing
wildlife.

Space is limited, so make reservations now.  In the event of bad
weather, the Captain will make the decision if we go or not.  To make
reservations visit the registration page at:
