Not good with the hundreds of varieties of small birds.  Found this one hanging around a fresh water marsh in Arundel. Checked my normal sources and couldn't find one that matched.   Any help?  Thanks.

Jennifer, thank you......should have "connected the dots" as there were quite a few males hanging around.  I've seen many males over the years but don't
think I've ever see a female.
