There are now 2 Marbled Godwits in lagoon at Popham Beach state park. No Whimbrel. Tons of shorebirds in there too!!! Many, many went unidentified.

for Marbled Godwits in lagoon at Popham Beach state park there is a good vantage point without a scope. It is right behind the food truck near restrooms. There's a path to a rise that overlooks the lagoon. Look for a small sign about horseshoe pit. Watch for poison ivy. We went Tuesday by 10 a.m. when the parking lot was empty and the sky was overcast so not a lot of beachgoers. Thank you for posting about the lagoon location.

Thanks to the location info we found the lagoon today early afternoon: Whimbrel, Willets, 1 Snowy and 3 Marbled Godwits flew in. Many plovers and sandpipers. No cell service while there. Bring a chair.
