Heard at least 2 woodcock performing Spring ritual by my home here in Saco at 6 p.m. Earliest I have heard/seen them in several years. Very heartening to hear!

Same here in Westbrook.

I had a feeling that the warmth would bring them out today and around 6pm they started in our backyard.

Earliest I’ve heard one since I started keeping records in 2014.
