After several weeks of scrutinizing Bonaparte’s Gulls in the gull aggregation at the mouth of the Mousam River, and inspired by Will Sweet’s sighting at Laudholm this morning, I stopped by Parsons Beach this evening. As the gulls came in (presumably to roost for the evening, I had a LITTLE GULL in with the Bonis.
From the photos, I’m not entirely sure if this is the same bird Will Sweet had this morning, but super close as the gull flies and they move back and forth. This is a good spot in early morning and evening right now.
Parsons Beach is in Kennebunk, Route 9 at the end of Parsons Beach Rd. Parking is extremely limited at the beach, but you can also park north of Route 9 along the road.
