FOY yellow-rumps in Brunswick

Had our first of year Yellow-rumors Warbler singing to beat the band this morning. Heard two distinct birds.

Best spell-check error I've ever enjoyed. Warblers this time of year are indeed rumors of yellow!!

Matched yesterday by someone who saw a rose-breasted grosbeak on what was said to be 4/28, but it was really 4/18. Either date is early!

Had my own FOY Yellow Rumor this a.m. on  suet. 🙂 Thank you for the smile on Sunday! I still call it the Myrtle warbler so there you go...a rose by any other name...:)

Someday soon it will be the Myrtle Warbler once again.  These situations are always complicated, but that lump certainly is much questioned.

 

I too will always call it the Myrtle!
